Is an elegant and peaceful place in the heart of the spa town Meran. It is a must for lovers of spas. The thermal bath consists of 25 indoor- and outdoor pools as well as several saunas. The 52.000 sqm thermal park is open 365 days and is the ideal place to relax. On the Thermen Square you can go ice skating or visit the Christmas fair. If you want a special culinary delight pay a visit to the oversized Christmas balls situated on the Thermen Square.

Advent at Tyrol Castle

The historic atmosphere at Tyrol Castle hosts the annual Christmas fair taking place. The inner courtyard turns into festive scenery providing an authentic South Tyrolean Christmas atmosphere. In the hall of knights and castle yard you can take a look at the products from the local workshops. These traditional products are made with the techniques of felting, pottery making, wood turning and spinning. While listening to wind ensembles and choirs you can marvel at the local ceramic and jewellery products. If you feel hungry don’t hesitate to try the one or the other South Tyrolean dish.Let's hope it works out again next winter!

Winter sports

Want to keep fit with winter sports? Near Dorf Tirol you find numerous places to go. The lower terminus of the ski area “Meran 2000” is only a 20 minutes’ drive from Dorf Tirol. The cable car takes you to the sunny ski area where you can ski, snowboard, sledge, go on a ski tour and last but not least go snowshoeing. Furthermore, you can go ice skating in Meran and Algund. If you prefer hiking, jogging or just going for a walk the village Dorf Tirol and its surroundings offer you lots of possibilities to unwind.

Dorf Tirol with children

Dorf Tirol, Meran and surroundings are marvellous places for holidays with children. In winter when it is snowing children love going to the winter wonderland in “Meran 2000”. In Luki’s kids world your children can do sledging and build a snowman. If your kids are 3 years and older they can learn skiing in the Mini Ski Club. They will also love alpine bobsleighing. If your kids prefer ice skating you can take them to Schenna, Algund, Meran, Lana or Pfelders. Children also love the enchanting atmosphere and attractions at the Christmas fairs.
